Bimbi preschool

The Bimbi difference

Families choose Bimbi Preschool because children are deeply known, joyfully engaged and thoughtfully supported to grow in confidence, curiosity and capability.

Bimbi is an integral part of Red Hill Public School and Wagga Wagga’s only Department of Education preschool. As one connected Preschool to Year 6 learning community, we offer children a distinctive early learning experience, a strong sense of belonging and a familiar, supported transition towards primary school.

Bimbi Preschool is proud to be rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standard, recognising the thoughtful teaching, strong relationships and high-quality learning experiences that shape our program. Our experienced and qualified early childhood educators provide purposeful, play-based learning that builds on each child’s interests, strengths, ideas and emerging skills, extending their learning through exploration, conversation, creativity and discovery.

Our program is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework

Bimbi welcomes children who turn four on or before 31 July in the year before they begin primary school. Children attend five days each fortnight in one of two groups:

Group 1: Monday and Tuesday, plus alternate Wednesdays
Group 2: Thursday and Friday, plus alternate Wednesdays

We look forward to welcoming you and your child to Bimbi Preschool. Contact our team to ask a question, arrange a tour or learn more about enrolment. Please call 0269 311 263 or send an email to redhill-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au.

Ideas for at home

Children learn through play, conversation and everyday experiences.

Families can help by reading and talking together, encouraging questions, involving children in simple tasks, building independence and celebrating effort and persistence.

Sharing your child’s interests, strengths and experiences with our educators also helps us support their learning.

Public preschools enrol children for one year only, the year before they start school.

Children can enrol from the beginning of the school year if they turn 4 years of age before 31 July that year.

How to enrol

Families may apply to enrol at Bimbi Preschool regardless of where they live. Enrolment boundaries do not apply to NSW public preschools. Places are offered through an application process and in accordance with Department of Education enrolment priorities.

Please note that preschool and Kindergarten enrolments are separate. Enrolment at Bimbi Preschool does not automatically provide entitlement to enrol in Kindergarten at Red Hill Public School.
